This book is nice because the characters are a bit older than a lot of books that focus on boybands. Ariadne is already a lawyer and has her own career. It’s a closed door adult romance.
The Idea of You – Robinne Lee
Solene Marchand is a 39-year-old mother and the owner of an LA art gallery who reluctantly takes her daughter to see world-famous boyband, August Moon, where they get the opportunity to meet the band. The last thing Solene expects is to make a connection with any of the members, but Hayes is clever, kind, confident and pretty posh and she’s attracted to him immediately. He’s also only 20 years old.
Solene and Hayes quickly begin a secret but passionate relationship that takes Solene all over the world, but as the relationship is forced into the public eye they’re forced to deal with rabid fans … and the fact that her daughter is obsessed with Hayes.
This book is seems like it is obviously based on Harry Styles even though the author says it’s not based on anyone. It’s being adapted into a movie starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine.
The Boyband Murder Mystery – Ava Eldred
Harri and her best friends worship Half Light – an internationally famous boyband. One day frontman Frankie is arrested on suspicion of murdering his oldest friend and Harri feels like her life is about to fall apart. But Half Light superfans know he could never have done it and they know more about the band than anyone so Harri meets up with her online friends and together they attempt to prove Frankie’s innocence. They show the world that you should never underestimate a teenage girl with a passion…
The Boyband Murder mystery is a book for the girls that were diehard boyband fans as teenagers. Not everyone will get this book. It really focuses on what it was like to be in an online boyband fandom and if you weren’t part of that then you might not like this book.
A Merry Little Meet Cute – Julie Murphy + Sienna Miller

This is a fun, spicy read that’s more like a comedy than any of the other’s on this list!
Shine – Jessica Jung

Shine is interesting because it’s (ghost-written) by Korean-American k-pop star, Jessica Jung, who rose to fame in the mega-famous group Girls Generation.

This feels like a classic boyband fanfiction (in a good way, of course). So many boybands have rumours about the members hooking up and it’s not a surprise this has been made into a book.
